Ultimate Lobster Fishing Charter
Experience the thrill of harvesting your very own fresh Southern Zone Rock Lobster in the pristine waters off our spectacular coastline. Whether you're looking for a relaxed day on the water or the ultimate offshore fishing adventure, Seeker Charters offers an unforgettable experience for seafood lovers, families and groups of friends.
Seeker's Ultimate charter package combines the thrill of hauling your own southern rock lobster with a day of quality reef fishing off Beachport.
Set a series of lobster pots in prime fishing grounds the morning of your full day charter before setting off for your reef fishing adventure. While the pots do their work, you'll spend the day reef fishing for snapper, gurnard, morwong, nannygai, knifejaw, flathead, school shark and gummy shark, taking in the scenery and enjoying everything the Limestone Coast has to offer. NOTE: Snapper fishing will be closed when the total allowable recreational catch is reached. Strict reporting requirements apply.
When the time comes, we'll head back to haul the pots; there's nothing quite like the anticipation of hauling them aboard and discovering your catch of fresh Southern Rock Lobster waiting inside. If we haven't worn you out yet we will then reset your pots and let them soak overnight and you are invited to come aboard the next morning and retrieve your pots this way you will get the maximum use out of your permit.
A temporary lobster pot license is required for this experience which is included in the boat fee. Seeker Charters will arrange all the necessary permits on your behalf, ensuring a seamless and hassle-free adventure from start to finish.
Group bookings only. Maximum of 12 people. Catering options available, BYO alcohol.

Do I need to bring lunch?
Yes, bring your own lunch, snacks and refreshments. Sandwiches, biscuits, a morning coffee, and a couple of soft drinks are always popular, but bring whatever you like.
Is there anything else I should bring?
We provide high quality rods and reels, but you are welcome to bring your own fishing gear. Please keep in mind though that space is limited and we do not take responsibility for personal items taken on board. Apart from that, bring your camera phone to get some photos of your catch, and a smile, sense of humour and positive attitude are always appreciated on a fishing trip.
What should I wear?
Please wear appropriate clothing for a day out on the sea. Protect yourself from the sun, wind and rain (i.e. jeans, jackets, hats, beanies, sunglasses, etc.). It is important that you wear non-slip enclosed footwear (no sandals nor thongs).
Can children come on the charters?
Children aged 12 and over that are accompanied by an adult are allowed on our charters. While we cannot accommodate children under the age of 12 on our fishing charters, we may be able to accommodate them on a shorter scenic trip. If this interests you, contact us regarding a custom charter.
What if I get seasick?
If you are prone to sea sickness or are not sure if you get sea sick, we recommend that you bring seasickness tablets along with you.
Do I need to be fit and mobile?
Reasonable fitness and mobility is required during the course of your trip as you will need to be able to climb onto the 50-foot vessel from a smaller tender dingy or jetty, and back again. This is not overly difficult, and assistance is always provided by the crew, but you must be careful when moving from one vessel to another.
Is it safe to be so far off-shore?
We take your safety very seriously. Juggernaut has an AMSA medical kit onboard and our crew are trained in first aid. However you need to be aware that you will be travelling to a remote location, and while we will take every step to ensure your safety, there are still risks involved. At the time of booking, please advise us if you have any medical conditions that we need to be aware of.
Can we bring alcohol?
Alcohol is permitted on the Juggernaut. You may bring some beers or other alcoholic drinks, however we ask that you drink responsibly. If a client becomes intoxicated and poses any safety threat to any crew members or clients, the trip will be cancelled and no refund will be offered. If any guest arrives intoxicated they will not be permitted to board and they will forfeit any payments made.
Do we get to keep the fish we catch?
Fish and lobster caught during the charter will be cleaned by the crew, vacuum sealed, and divided up amongst all guests - provided they are within legal limits. Bring your esky and keep it in your vehicle. If all goes well, at the end of the charter you will be able to fill it up with fresh seafood!
